Menu Updates
Hi, just a quick update today.
I made some significant simplifications and improvements to the menus (mostly on the back end). The only difference anyone will notice is the pause menu is now updated in line with the new graphics, and there are new "sound", "controls" and "delete save file" options. I still need to work on having the font scale properly for smaller screen sizes, I want to avoid scaling the font up from the room size (240x135) as it will be poor resolution and instead am drawing directly to the GUI layer.
I made the decision to remove the ability to delete save files from inside the game over concern people would accidentally do so and not want to replay the levels. I doubt many players would want to use this function anyway, I have opted to instead provide instructions on how to delete save files in the game menu.
