Release Date & Updates
I can now reveal that Push Pull is planned to release on March 8th on Steam!
As this is my first release I have been going through the process of setting up a corporation and SteamWorks application. My experience with SteamWorks has been fairly smooth, the documentation isn't always clear especially around packages, builds and depots and the navigation is confusing but I have the hang of it now.
The trailer is the last outstanding task before Steam review. I have decided to create it myself so have been learning HitFilm Express. I think this is a pretty solid free tool, I found it mostly intuitive and quick to pick up. I have the general flow of the trailer in place, my main concern is whether the gameplay footage gives an accurate representation of the moderate difficulty of the game. I am tossing up between adding text to describe the game explicitly, but I find this inelegant and ideally the gameplay would speak for itself. I think more research of similar titles is required.
I should have this trailer submitted and Steam review completed within the next week, so stay tuned for the trailer and store page release soon.
